what is the cost for a hand painted Bible?
all prices vary based on what you want! my Bible designs average around $100 & go up from there if you'd like a different translation, add ons such as a dedication collage, Bible tabs, Bible dreads, a bookmark, etc.
do you offer fully custom Bibles?
yes! if you don't see what you're looking for in my "shop Bibles" section, you can simply order from the "custom Bible" listing & i would love to paint you exactly what you're thinking. give me all your wonderful ideas! i can paint your favorite places, people & things!
can i change your designs around & add my favorite verse, my favorite colors, my favorite flowers, etc?
of course! simply include your customizations in your order notes! check out my example pictures for inspiration on how others have changed my designs around!
do your shop Bibles come highlighted & with all your notes or artwork on the inside?
no, my hope is that YOU will fall in LOVE with YOUR Bible & dig deeper into the word with your own beautifully personal & unique notes!
do you offer wedding Bibles?
yes! i love helping my customers prepare for their big day! whether you are the bride or gifting the happy couple with something that they will love for a lifetime, here are some wonderful options for you!
1) order from my wedding Bible listing and the price includes a sign to go with it as your guestbook telling people how to sign it with their name and their favorite Bible verse.
2) order from one of my themed Bibles if you like anything you see in my shop. (each Bible is named after a woman saved from drug addiction/alcoholism or another life controlling issue. check out their testimonies in the 'description' section!) you can always change around the flower types & colors to fit your wedding inspiration. this option and the option below will not include the sign as listed above.
3) order from the custom Bible listing if you don't already see something you love in my shop. this sounds like more of what you are thinking if you're wanting to send me inspiration photos/a mood board.
i see you offer ESV journaling Bibles. what if i want another translation?

can i order a Bible exactly as pictured?
the short answer is, to an extent.
no two bibles are ever exactly the same, yours will be unique and totally YOU!
you CAN request "exactly as pictured in example #_____“ (whichever!) in your notes & i'm happy to accommodate by sticking as closely to the example picture as possible.
florals/backdrops/landscapes will vary slightly in color from the listing photos as they are blended while wet & filters are at times added for aesthetic purposes. also due to certain lighting/phone/computer screens, we may be seeing colors uniquely different.
BUT, again, i do hand mix each color & i'll do my best to recreate & replicate the colors/design as best i can!
you will notice in each picture, the colors & placement of flowers are different.
if not specified "exactly as pictured", you are giving me artistic freedom & you will receive a Bible with similar flowers, but not exactly replicated as far as the placement of each flower goes. don’t worry, it will still be beautiful, you are just trusting me with the design & placement based on your requests!
can i send you in a Bible to paint?
no, sadly i don't offer this service! for liability & the precious, irreplaceable nature of your very own well-loved treasure of a Bible, i don't accept other people's personal Bibles into my home where my two 4 year olds live :) when you order, i provide the Bible!
what are Bible tattoos?
Bible tattoos are available in my shop for only $20 as an add on to your Bible purchase! a Bible spine doodle, as i call them a "tattoo", covers all 3 sides of the outsides of the pages. SOME of you may receive a small surprise spine tattoo doodle, small or large, on one or more section of the spine pages if an accident happens & a little spot of paint gets on the spine pages.
PLEASE SPECIFY if you would NOT like ANY doodles/tattoos on your spine pages so i can take necessary precautions to prevent them. i am not liable to replace if you don’t like the spine after you have received it. thank you for understanding :)
will the paint chip?
such a good question!
i always say to all my guests in the shop, absolutely handle with care. i would not suggest leaving this bible out in the rain or scratching at the design or leaving it in the hands of a two year old ha, as with any handmade item, there is always the risk of imperfections as you use and love on this Bible over time.
however, my passion that ignited the fire to start this business is the desire that women would grow more in love with the WORD of GOD. i do not intend to sell these beautiful works of art to sit on a shelf and be house decor. we have enough “shelf bibles” in our blessed, free country! my desire is that women would take this bible everywhere they go and OVERUSE it! i like to see women’s bibles full of notes, highlighted and LIVED IN, loved on. after years of use, every one of my Bibles grow to accumulate imperfections that make this personal Book my own! my desire is that this Bible would be taken everywhere with you. and if that means walking in the rain with your Bible to go share the love of CHRIST with someone who needs Him, i have prepared for that! i cover each Bible with multiple coats of paint finish/sealer to ensure you that whether it’s few raindrops, an accidental drop to the ground as you give someone a hug, or setting your prayer journal on top of it as you ride in the car... none of these things will ruin it! i want you to enjoy this work of art for years to come!
with all this being said, i still do not suggest scratching at the design and caring for the WORD of GOD as something precious! just as i would also suggest not using pens as book marks, as the binding is subject to ripping. unfortunately i don’t have a product i’ve run over with a car or dropped off a building for crash tests! BUT i do have multiple women at my church who have ordered my product & i see them using each sunday & wednesday... and the Bibles are holding up just wonderfully and in great shape :)
how long does the process take after i order?
my typical processing time is 28 business days after you order (5-6 weeks) (not including bank holidays) but i always try to get my orders out earlier than expected because i know how hard it is to wait on these precious treasures! you can always add on "hurry my Bible" to your order & skip the line, then you'll receive your Bible within 7 business days of when you order!
how will i know my Bible has shipped?
i provide you with a shipping notification, as well as a tracking number for yoh to follow! you can sign up for texts & emails connected to that tracking number & see it moving & grooving along the way!
do you offer returns or exchanges?
all Sparrows & Wildflowers Bibles are painted upon order. because each item is custom and made to order, no returns of refunds will be accepted unless there is an error on my end (as with any handmade items, this has happened a handful of times!) IF an error is to occur such as a typo, different verse than you requested or omission of one of your specific requests, please communicate with me & i will be HAPPY to provide you with the means to ship it back to me so I can fix it! please be sure to make yourself accustomed to my painting style & ordering process by checking out my options i offer and reading through the "how to order" page so that we are on the same page & you receive everything exactly as expected.
