Dawn did everything she could to make sure her 4 boys had a great childhood. Sports, hunting, fishing,  \u0026amp; taking them to church on Sundays. But years later, life began to take unexpected turns. One of her sons was diagnosed with leukemia in college while her youngest son, Travis, was diving headfirst into drug addiction. This expensive habit was not only robbing loved ones around him to pay for the fix, but also robbing Travis of his life \u0026amp; his freedom. As Dawn’s prayers were answered \u0026amp; one son was healed from the cancer he did not choose, her heart broke as her other son daily made choices to continue down a road of what doctors told her was also a “disease.” She fought for him, watched him detox then relapse over \u0026amp; over, she cried for him... But most importantly, she never gave up praying for him. After a decade of putting Travis into God’s hands, he was in jail for a robbery. Dawn was then faced with the heartache of showing “tough love”, knowing God was leading her not to bail him out. She knew God was able to save her son, even in jail. But felony charges, many failed attempts to get “clean”, family, friends \u0026amp; even Christians around her told her otherwise... Travis was hopeless. BUT GOD, was directing the steps of this family all along. Travis hit his knees in the jail cell \u0026amp; was released from there to enter a faith-based program that Dawn had seen him try \u0026amp; fail twice before. This time was different. Chains were broken as Travis surrendered his will \u0026amp; God’s Word changed everything. 3.5 years later, Travis is now married \u0026amp; serving as an assistant pastor of the church where he was saved. She is a happy wife, mother \u0026amp; grandmother of 4, 2 of those being Travis’ twins!
